i have had this pig for almost 2 yrs, and i started a "lord of the flies" set/dio piece about a yr ago. i just about threw away the bases i used here when i realized they had potential.

the bases and skulls are from a $2 light up halloween set from the thrift store. it had a lamp pole, fencing, pumpkins and a spooky tree. it was an impulse buy, but it turned into a gold mine! the other light color bones are two dollar tree skeletons cut down to only the realistic bits, the skulls on those had zero detail. also pictured are the remnants of the skeleton i cut up for "destros body" and a real mouse skull i found behind my moms fridge

the viper heads and the bat came to me in a large fodder lot. i almost threw them out or sent them on down the line several times. when sorting fodder a few days ago i had the idea to cut the necks off, repaint and use them for battered trophies of war. the paint was sticky but i washed them with denatured alcohol then added some paint and weathering.

this bat head turned out better than i could of hoped. i think it was sealed with clear and the acohol made the clear crack. i also lit the alcohol at one point, but i'm not sure it added anything.

in my verse the evil dr gold faust has a hidden lair on the island of A.V. on the far coasts of the island a tribe of lost boys have been rumored to dwell.

Creepy! Very appropriate for Halloween. Any plans to populate the dio with zombies or any other type of undead?

i haven't made any zombies, but i may in the future :) i do have a small bag of damaged heads. i really want a nice group of wilding type children. those parts have not turned up yet though.
