I originally completed this custom shortly after release of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". As the title says, I was initially inspired by Dr. Bindy's terrific EXCAL Cap (http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/customs_specific_item.php?kind=figure&alpha=C&uid=2707&id=12370), which was in turn loosely based on the cinematic version. His custom really got me looking at my off the peg Avengers movie Cap and realizing how crappy it is. Limited articulation, stumpy proportions, and not even movie accurate. As Captain America is one of my favorite superheroes and my absolute favorite Marvel movie franchise, I decided that I wanted a version I'd be happy to display on my shelf. I sort of split the difference between Bindy's version and Cap's look in Age of Ultron. The recipe is below. I was extremely happy with him, but even more so when I added magnets to him earlier this year. Now it's probably my favorite custom I've ever done. The recipe is below.

Head, Torso, Upper Arms, Upper Legs, Shield: Avengers movie Captain America
Lower Arms, Lower Legs: Captain America: Fighting Avenger Cap
Hands, Harness: MU Commander Rogers
Desert Eagle: Marauder
Alt Head: Avengers movie line WWII Cap, cast

Well then. I didn't know I wanted a movie accurate Captain America but now I most certainly do.

Looks great! Love all the parts choices. And thanks for the nod!
