that is a wild looking custom i really like it. reminds me of a rather gruesome story (possibly in one of the reacher novels?) about an african prison where every year they chop off an appendage of the prisoners. the dismember -er would ask long sleeve or short sleeve for wrist or elbow. |

2dark2c, 'short sleeve or long sleeve' comes from the real life Rwandan Genocide. Hutu troops, wielding machetes, would taunt their victims with the question before chopping off the selected limb. Past Nastification, I had never heard about the 2nd wave of Eagle Force but had strong childhood memories of the couple figures I had and playing with the Eagle Mountain Fortress at a friends house. I love your update of the character, a radical departure from the original but much closer to the modern version of a pirate. Extra points for using the playmobil parrots. Where'd the chest come from? I have one I picked up at a flea market but am unsure of the origin. ChapMei? |

You don't see a shirt like that every day, interesting. How did you create that pattern? Good choice for that robot hand, an "under-used" item for custom B.A.T.S., Overkill and other androids/robots. |

The pattern on the shirt looks more like a digital pattern than what I tried to make. I used a sponge dabbed in yellow paint and applied it over a still-wet wash of red. I thought that the yellow would feather out into the red, but that didn't happen. I'd heard about using the sponge technique to make digital camo (thanks to pluv/TR1ER), so at least I got a practice run before using it on a figure that's supposed to have digital camo. As for the hand, thanks. It looks just the right amount of clunky to keep the character gritty. |
