I've been back at the customs recently and finally got around to finishing a bunch... and more importantly, photographing them!

So, first up, my final iteration of a character I've posted before. Following some very helpful suggestions, I recoloured his hair. I also did an arm swap. He's Cobra's deep cover facilitator for CG ops. The name's Gauntlet - I liked the idea of 'one who protects the hand (of Cobra)'. I already submitted him - watch for the full bio to be posted soon.
Image

Next up we have an almost LBC, latest in my series of Cobra senior leadership. I think he's simple, but the design is effective and playable. I imagine this guy as the CO of an infantry battalion, maybe of Blueshirts. I'm open to name suggestions too.
Image

Next is my Cobra Combat Search and Rescue Viper. I took some design inspiration from a bbi figure... and I chose orange as a tribute to Canadian SAR techs (who wear an orange beret) and because it added an interesting colour element. And yeah, they cary a lot of gear... I was very happy to find a use for the Spy Troops helmet as I thought it resembled a helo crewman's.
Image

Finally, with a personal series on Cobra senior leadership, I thought the next interesting project would be Heros of Cobra. Basically, these are Cobra veterans who have distinguished themselves and have earned the right to wear personalised uniforms. Come to think of it, this could be the basis of an interesting GP! Both of these are unpainted WIPs.

The first I didn't really have any real ideas about, except that he looked like a big, mean infantry sergeant. Any other bio suggestions are welcome.
Image

The second I thought of a sergeant in a shocktroops platoon. He's a veteran heavy infantryman, he specialises in dispensing smoke rounds and CS gas in the assault. (I struggle with how else to explain the mask... even on Guillotine).

Thanks for any feedback!

your first fig looks good...glad you painted the hair...I'll have to check his bio when he goes up on the site.

The Infantry CO looks pretty cool...I'm a big fan of LBCs and doing them in black always makes it a lot easier. He looks like he'd fit in well with the TRU 6 pack of Black CGs.

for the Cobra SAR...first thing I'd do is ditch the arms. (I've never been a fan of the sleve sculpting on those Recondo arms.) If you want the big man look...you can't do better than Major Barrage arms. In fact, Id prolly ditch your whole figure for a Barrage base, add the SB armor and helmet and see if it looks any better.

your 1st Hero WIP...could be an addition to the Plague. Add the shoulder armor from Overkill, a little more work on the head, maybe some neck armor...and he's the Coil trooper contingent of the Plague.

I love the look of the Last WIP..but Nothing is for certain. I could see it as a land based version of an eel...maybe even Guillitine. Or make it your Hero Heat viper. give him a bigger launcher. (GIve it a big barrel drum like Hardball's...just mounted in the Heat Viper fang launcher.) His arms have an experimental cybernetic exoskeleton to allow him to handel the larger weapon. the mask is to avoind rocket fumes. strap some missiles around his feet, a little yellow and purple...and he'd be quite rockin.

Very nice! The shocktroops Sergeant is probably my favorite. The mask is cool, no need for an explanation ;-)

Is the infantry sergeant wearing the Serpentor helmet that came with Hannibal?

if you slap some paint on that last one so the pants and the chest look more cohesive, it turns into one bad ass looking figure.
