I know this isn't the usual thing we show off here but I'm so incredibly proud of how this turned out I wanted to share it with you all. This took almost exactly 3 months to the day to complete from initial concept to what you see in the pictures. I still have some minor work to do but for the most part its finished. If you're so inclined please read through the thread linked below and look at all my pretty WIP pictures. And for those that just want the pretty pictures I'll put one here as a taste of what I did.

That came out great! Very cool Mashup ideas, and done well too. I'm interested in getting into more prop and costume work myself, and I've always been tempted to do a Mando armor set.

I'd been thinking about making a Clonetrooper for a few years but the cost and learning curve just seemed beyond my skill set. The Mando provided a different learning curve and allowed more creativity. I was intimidated at first but once I got over the initial fear I just jumped into the deep end and didn't look back. Once I got into it the whole process was a lot of fun. So much fun that I have another one in mind that I'm probably going to start later this summer.

Dude, seriously, the dark hallway shot doesn't do the costume details you put into it near enough justice. The scales on the chest, the commlink on the gauntlet. Bad assery all around. My one suggestion way too late to help would have been lightsaber hilts off the back like his swords.

Finally got to see the pics in this thread (wouldn't show up on my tapatalk for some raisin.)

LOVE this. Everything about it - the out-of-the-box concept, the execution, everything.

I was gonna flick you "LASER BLAST" about the sensorscope/rangefinder thingy being on the wrong side, but then I realized why that was, and was even more blown away by the attention to detail.

Bravo.

Thanks Chief. Glad someone noticed and understood the left side range finder.

A couple pics from SDCC as we were wrapping up for the day.

And you can't see it very well but I got some new pouches including one with a custom panel of a Deathstroke'd Mythosaur. I also got a round panel for my right shoulder armor which you can't see in those pics above but is included in this shot.

I also added a rifle to the kit but its not finished yet as I need to do some heavy work to further modify it.

This is great. Really nice work all around. Several of my friends started doing Cosplay a few years back and now they are fully immersed in the hobby. Can't wait to see what you do next and watch your journey into the Cosplay universe.

How many hours go into a costume like that? Looks great.

I don't have a count on hours. I started in March and finished it at the beginning of June. Almost every weekend spent all day in the garage, a couple hours or so each night during the week. A LOT of work but also a LOT of fun.
