Narly dude! As usual very creative 2D2C. Love the team! What are the base figures?

thanks indrox!

all storm troopers (i'm guessing) ,but i'm not sure which line though. I picked the ones out of my fodder with the most articulation. heads are 2 adventure wheels (red, orange), hotwheels black, fisher price yellow, and halo cast green.

for this years retro toybox custom contest i wanted to go bigger and badder than my best entry last year(pacman&ms.pacman). my first idea was TMNT and i started looking for a 1:18 angle. i managed 3 figures ,but after getting them fleshed out i had another idea. simply to use a dirt bike i had in my fodder box to make the iconic main character from EXCITEBIKE! just like in many of my other ideas ,that first thought snowballed quickly into making five bikes (big thanks to jasons joes and more and slim19722 !) and riders. naturally then i had to figure out where they would ride, and that got my dio going.

ever since my first shoebox dio i have seen the wisdom of a stoable stackable dio. so i started with a donated boot box. my ramps are some packing corner pieces from some lap top pc's. i soon realised that the inside of my box was too small and rather un dynamic so i decided to fold the walls down. the fold out back drops came next and the slide out track pieces were the final design element of the dio. my awesome boss printed the excitebike logo and screenshots for me, and many of my coworkers donated stickers and adds for my backdrop. my podium is 4 outer ring boxes i saved from the landfill, and that trophy is a whole nother story!this was a lot of fun to photo and stage, it really took me back to those awesome nentendo days of my childhood.

all 5 base figures are storm troopers . not sure from what line but I chose the ones with the most articulation. 2 (red, orange)heads are adventure wheels, black helmet hotwheels I think, green helmet is a cast of a halo head , and yellow is that old school fisher price dirtbike rider. hands are all from joe lines both NS and ME.

two of the bikes are from "bad guys " green and blue. with dollar tree chopper front fenders and many bits chopped off.

red bike is from terminator. lots of bits removed.

yellow bike is diecast? just a repaint.

orange unknown very cheap plastic, with chap mei 4 wheeler bars

the # plates are all clear plastic jewel type stickers over stenciled #'s.

I devoted most of my spare time to this project ,and I hope it shows.i'm pretty sure my photo totals would be north of 1k, I normally take a lot of pics then edit and pic my best shots.

i feel honored just to be able to participate in PHX's awesome contest, and humbled to be chosen as a winner! thanks guys for letting me play! and big thanks everyone for looking and cheering me on!!
