not much to critique yet, but talking to Rambo got me to take a pic of a ring I plan to mod for my growing wrestler customs. it is a jakks ring made for 3" figures, but it has potential. it's 3/4" or less larger than my BnB ring, but the post/ropes give it a larger feel. the accessories it came with (ladder, trash can, folded chair) are nice for our scale. the figures are terrible and will be for sale!

terrible 3" figures

they actually work good with the BnB ring.....as do rumblers....
Image

I plan to sell the BnB ring too, but I might steal the posts off. ok no plans in stone yet! I have another jakks ring headed my way that I plan on modding for rumblers

I have sent dozens of headless rumblers down the road. if you have some not used I would sure pay shipping to get them back. even if for sale or trade, i'm interested in the little guys. crazy right!

I think i'm going to mod some for sale. I don't normally customize to sell, and they might not be well received, yet I had the idea and i'll give it a go. this isn't a for sale add, but by all means pm me if you want any of what i'm about to post :)

I think I have 10 rumbler bodies right now, so i'm thinking of making custom 2 packs....thoughts?

i'm looking at these heads from my fodder
Image

and each would come with accessories

thought, opinions, smack downs :shifty: get some :rotfl:

??? has anyone figured out the measurements for a 1:18 scale ring ?

I tried but it made my head hurt :( total AxB of the mat, AxB of the ropes, and the height of the ropes?

rings are 14-20' squares per wiki so there is a lot of wiggle room. 8"x8" would be 144"x144" /12 = 12' so slightly too small...I think!

I have made a 1:18 scale ring with 12"x12" dimensions; this works out to 18 feet x 18 feet, which was the size of WCW's rings. WWE rings are approximately 20' x 20'. I used a 12" wooden square from Michaels and a piece of craft foam as the canvas. I placed my ropes 1" apart, so 18" in true life scale. I'll try to get a pic posted of mine this afternoon, to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Ring posts are 6.25". The turnbuckles are small binder clips. If I made another ring, I'd probably just go ahead and create turnbuckles out of dowel rod, which I have done for a 1:12th scale custom ring.

*WARNING -there are at least 2 different size rock'em sock'em robot games. the original 10"x10" and also a 8"x8" version! I bought an 8x8 by mistake. luckily I already had the10" version and just used it instead of having to mess with returning the 8". we will just play the smaller version :)

I've been all around the world on which way to go about making a custom ring. after seeing how big a true to our scale ring is I just wasn't happy with the rings I bought that were for the 3" figures. one day I want to make a full custom ring like the awesome one by marked man! for now I think i'm on to a solution that i'll be happy with. I boght the rock'em sock'em ring a couple years ago, but inted of using it for a custom ended up replacing the missing parts and using it as intended. I like the detail of my b-n-b ring ,but it is just way too small.

took me some thinking to mount the posts to the rmsm ring. I ended up using some plastic wall anchors my wife had

still lots of work to do.

thanks sgcaper!

I haven't made any progress on my ring, waiting on magnet sheet I plan to use as the ring mat and stretchy shoestrings I hope make decent ropes.

I did dive into my rumbler project and I am having a blast! I have 20 solid wips right now :)

got in rumbler lot and put this together. it's a 3" scale ring with rumbler posts and 4"scale ropes.

also got these steps and ladder.

I will end up removing the stickers and painting this ring.

I also got recruits for more custom rumblers

and some rumbler tables that will work for 4' tables in our scale
