Due to his unique physiology and the fact that he sprang from the tank fully-formed, it was only inevitable that as Serpentor got older, he wasn't going to age in the normal human sense. He's just basically breaking down, rotting on the bone. It's not a pretty site for anyone, and the once-proud Emperor is now a recluse, commanding the Coil Army from the shadows. "All Hail Serpentor, THIS I COMMAN... *cough*cough*" This custom is nothing more than a repainted Snoke, with a BFS Stheno Staff used in the photo. I took a red Citadel wash to the figure, which basically just painted it red, so I had to go back in and do an antique white dry-brush to the figure, which really gave him a skeletal/rotting appearance. I do like the entire concept of an old Serpentor, breaking down due to age. Using Snoke is a neat idea, but it might be too Snoke. Maybe using a figure that was more stooped over with age, getting away from the gold color scheme might lean it more towards Serpentor than Snoke. |

OK, I woke up a little while ago and started thinking I was too harsh last night and didn't offer any other viable suggestions. I realized the gold bathrobe was getting in the way of me believing it wasn't Snoke. So, I wondered if you could create some type of containment suit to put the Snoke parts on, sort of keeping him intact while going through experimental treatments (lying on a medical platform while huge machinery baths him in lights or dunking him in a Bacta-like tank like Vader in Rogue One or Luke in ESB). A newer body, shorter than Snoke, would give him the stooped breaking down old man look. If that new body was spindly, then it could show he has lost a lot of body muscle mass too. Something like a Clone Wars Cad Bane body maybe? |

dude, it's ok, I can take a good critique! this was mostly a toss-off custom, after the painting experiment went awry. but now you got me thinking : maybe he needs to go full monk ... If I can get a set of these accessories, the hood & cloak might work better here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0862/ ... 1498683433 |

A religious aspect of Cobra like IDW(?) had a few years back when Chuckles shot Cobra Commander. |

Wasn't that The Coil in the IDW book? I feel like it was. Regardless, The Coil in my 'verse is the Serpentor splinter Cobras, vs the Cobra Commander loyalists |

I really like the idea behind this. Wouldn't it stand to reason that one of the wacky scientists within Cobra's ranks would develop some kind of cyborg solution for him, though? Maybe something a'la Silvermane from the old Spidey comics? |

Great use for a peg warmer. Seems like it could also be a base for an interesting take on Golobulus, too. |

There are those that think Cobra Commander is not that great of a leader and hide in the shadows creating a powerbase to overthrow him. Adds much needed intrigue and infighting. |

Another small thing to keep in mind, whether cyborg-ing him, or simply adding to it: a few more subtle nods to the original would go a long way. Gauntlets, or maybe just beavers made from them? A hint of the serpy skirt peeking under the robe? The neck piece? A couple things to sell the story. And I think that’s true even if he becomes Darth Serpy |

It's a great concept. The head is pretty hard to NOT be Snoke, though. Maybe adding some hair or the helmet? |
