Wanted to see if I could create & build plus paint a diorama in two hours. Granted I didn’t paint the figure or dumpster, there was some scratch building & paint plus details. Here is my metaphor for adulthood. Image

I can relate.

Just the title "2 hr diorama challenge" gave me anxiety. I would spend 2 hours just thinking up an idea and another 2 days scrummaging around for parts. 2 hours doesn't give you nearly enough time to question every decision and harshly critique yourself over every minutia. :-D :-| :-(

Edit: Oh yeah, well done.

Lol, that’s why it’s a challenge!! Lol, that was kinda my curiosity. Can other artists create something rapidly and how well can they achieve it? It wasn’t originally intended, I just happened to have 2 hours of time & I busted this out.

ever watched "forged in fire" or "chopped". I like those shows for the same exact reason. artists under pressure and time constraint. another one I sat through with my wife was "project runway" and I could use a tim gun around my "halfway pulling my hair out and cussing point" telling me to make it work.

I heard/read somewhere that an artists needs someone to stand behind them with a sledge hammer so they can hit them when their artwork is done. I know I have overworked a project to the point of ruining it.

so in your metaphor is adulthood the fire or the dumpster, no wrong answers lol if everything is on fire, then nothing is on fire.

nice work by the way!

If nothing else you've ignited the fire on an idea from me. I sketched it out, but I'm afraid the amount of precision needed won't fit in the 2 hour timeline. But I can see how far two hours gets me and go from there...some time this weekend.

lol the “dumpster fire “ is adulthood, and the guy is me, facing being an adult.

Well that is good! I would love to see what you can come up with.
