#53 Red Ninja (Battle Axe Driver)

I'm recycling the artwork I made for Cobra Ninja Viper. The 1993 Red Ninja was one of Hasbro's disasters. Instead of recoloring a Storm Shadow figure in, I dunno, red, they used a Dice figure recolored in several colors. Ouch. Because Dice is a very distinctive design, I fell back to the more simple Storm Shadow design, but colored it as Hasbro colored its original Red Ninja figure. Think of this not as a Red Ninja, but as a Battle Axe Operator.

This artwork starts year #2 of the Every Joe Project.

some of the factory color schemes really lose me too, but I guess it's more about that point of sale where they catch the eye. you got lots of deatail into this one. I really like all the fabric wrapping lines. again I recommend to anyone looking to open it in another window, lots more details/highlights can be seen with a larger image!

with red eyes and some purple he would be a great tmnt footsoldier too.
