Ever since I started playing the Halo series games I've always wanted to have a 1:18 scale warthog custom. Since I wanted this to be as close to the how the Warthog was in the Video game I wanted to make sure I made it as close to possible with the parts I could find.I did alot of searching for good pics of the warthog and an even bigger search for parts that i could use to make the custom out of. I quickly came to realize that there was no way of doing this custom without pieces it together one piece at a time. I used parts from the Badger, Eliminator Jeep, Awe Striker, Jump Jet pack, alot of cut pieces of the MCC fold out top sections, the gun from a Pirahna attack boat, the wheels from a G.I. Joe extreme Bone Splitter and ton of epoxy putty. The project took me about 6 weeks to finish and about 40+hours of work to completely finish it. So without further or due here is my Halo 3 Warthog custom. Feel free to leave comments and criticism. If anyone would like to see the evolution of the warthog from start to finish feel free to look at the pics in my Photobucket account. I made sure to take alot of pics along the way to show just how much work went into make this custom.

That is BEAUTIFUL! The link for the WIP links to one of the shots of the finished Warthog. Did you end up using the soda bottle for the windshield? If so it looks great. That Piranha gun station works perfectly. Now all you need to do is make molds of that thing so you can make a RC version of it.

Yes I did end up going with the 2 litre bottle for the windshield. It took me several tries to get right but I finally got one to come out good this afternoon. I think from now on when I need a windshield Im going to go with using a 2 litre bottle.

I Just bought a Halo 3 Spartan figure cast set, so my next project is to make a Spartan figure to drive the warthog.

Whoa! Thats fantastic Carn! Needs a little Drybrush though, like silver and brown Drybrush to give it the same effect in the pics.. but thats just My opinion.. Still, looks great.
