2 overly procrastinated projects and one accidental project to cross off some WIPs on the workbench.

Peter Parker
Head: Spartan 1:18 Industries
Torso, arms, left hand: Marauder Inc
Right hand: BFS HACKS Felonious
Legs: Arctic Cobra Commander
Feet: BFS HACKS boxer mini kit
Backpack: Marvel Universe Siperman
Webshooter: Marvel Universe Black Widow
Web: electric wire

drbindy hooked me up with this awesome Tom Holland likeness from Spartan Industries. My goal was just to make it different from whatever his eventual custom would be. So I went for a Parker just as he’s about to find himself in trouble look. Something good for field trips to DC or London.

Rogue
Entire body: Marvel Universe Rogue
Head: Star Wars Geek cast
Coat: Indiana Jones
Alternate forearm and hand: Marauder Inc

I like the modern Rogue look fine enough. But the personality of the “ah sugah” 90’s Jim Lee era comic version and corresponding Fox cartoon is too imprinted in my head. Got the cast and sat on it for several years dreading the day I’d eventually paint it. All these years and hundreds and hundreds of customs later, I still hate, repeat HATE, painting heads. My skills still haven’t improved, just my tolerance for correcting my crappiest of attempts.

Planet Hulk Silver Surfer
Gladiator
Entire figure: BFS HACKS silver figure and Gladiator arm, skirt, and harness
HACKS gold armor shin guards
Battle Hammer: Trigate cast on a Dollar General Darth Vader lightsaber shaft
Sword: Marvel Universe Captain Britain Excalibur
Surf shield: Tongue depressor, Iron Man stand, HACKS shield handle

No intention of making this custom. It’s been done, a lot. I was cleaning up the workbench and condensing stuff down when I found the silver HACKS figure at the bottom of a tote. Next thing I know, he’s wearing armor and swinging a battle hammer I’d just finished making for no one in particular. Since the figure was simple, I decided to complicate things and make the board so it could work as a shield too. The metallic silver I sprayed on sparkles in the sunlight brilliantly. I put rubber bands on the tongue depressor so the layers of paint would create the grooves when I cut them off.

You did Rogue! She's my favourite X-Men character thanks to Mike Carey's run a number of years ago. He made her the leader of her own X-Men team. She filled out that team with what essentially was another version of the Brotherhood of Mutants: Iceman, Cannonball, Cable, Sabretooth, Lady Mastermind, Omega Sentinel, and Mystique! Really good work on the face too.

Exactly. That Peter pic stole the show for me.
