So I finally got around to watching that turd of a Snake-Eyes movie last night, and it gave me the motivation I needed to get back to completing my JoeVerse reboot using 97% Marauder parts.

I've showed off some of my Joes before (will post them all after I finish up a couple remaining WIPs), but don't think I showed off any Cobras other than Stormy.

Definitely still a couple of major WIPs - Zartan still needs paint apps and shoulders, and Scrap Iron is just a parts build concept at this point - needs quite a few tweaks and some paint, but a lot of them are basically done. Note: Destro is clearly not an MTF custom - I wanted him bigger, so I used an MU Noir Spidey. He's got an MTF head, though - because I figured he should actually look Scottish.

But wanted to at least show what I had on the bench - almost done (Cobra troops will all be 25th, though - because MTF army building is expensive). Once I get everything done, I'll post a big thread with individual pics/bios/etc.

Oh - and I'm also putting together some Red Shadows figs

Cheers!

I am loving that first pic. Nice use of Marauder parts on that Zartan. Is the blue and gray suit Tomax or Xamot? I used the same recipe for my twins. The other has a gray blazer with blue pants.

I like the red shadows too but I'm honestly not a fan of the Marauder skull balaclavas.. The red mouth looks a bit clownish, maybe something like Joker's goons would wear. IMO the simple black masks would look more intimidating. I really dig the black and red combo on what I assume is Baron Ironblood with the hood.

It's supposed to be Xamot (need to either get a red tie suit guy or paint this one) - the way I figure it, he absorbed Tamox in the womb or otherwise killed him as a child and so now Tomax is a figment of his imagination. I was actually thinking of doing something with Zartan where Zarana & Zandar were just elements of his dissociative identity disorder (so I wouldn't have to make customs), but decided I liked the idea better for Xamot. He thinks he's in a room with his twin, but other people only see him.

I'm actually with you on that - and I'm going to be swapping out the heads when I get them. I thought this would work and it fell flat. I actually tried it with black skull-balaclavas and they looked better, tbh, but still looked... off.

The hooded guy is just what I made from leftover parts when I built the Black Major/General Blitz mashup - was thinking of making him the RS mad scientist or something to push him away from being just another CC "repaint". I'll figure something out eventually - the priority for these guys is on finishing my Skeletron & Kraken figs. In my little 'verse - the Red Shadows were the enemies of Joe Colton's Special Ops team - so Iron Blood and some others are long dead (again - fewer customs to have to make :-P ) and these guys are rebuilding themselves on a smaller scale and now harass the Adventure Team. But with the Roboskull kickstarter bringing even more figs to the table, I may have to expand the team some more.

Thanks!

Thanks! That's a Marvel Universe Aurora (Alpha Flight) head.

And here's a sneak peek at Cobra's new Super-Soldier program...

Thanks! It's from the Sam Elliott Golden Compass fig - makes a much better lab coat than the RoC Rex one, imo.

Sorry - I know that I'm not famous for my "Serpantor" customs - but I was quite happy with how the concept took form ;-)

It really does work great, I'd totally forgotten about that coat.
