Thank you. Given the other projects/teams I working on, I'm aiming for having this wrapped up sometime in '24. |

I can't overstate how much I love your SASF set. This is exactly how I wish that set had been done: I liked the idea of getting creative with the color schemes, but the execution was sorely lacking. You've taken that idea and done something beautiful with it: the figures pop in a way that I wouldn't have expected if you described them to me, and they look amazing together. It's a fantastic-looking set of customs, and one that I would buy in a second if they showed up on the pegs. The work you did on the heads is really impressive: they look like production pieces. Really great work on these. I hope we see the rest of the team! |

Thanks, I'm really glad it's appreciated. It started with additions of the missing team members, then took some Marvel influences and even Classified influences. Scarlett was done before I started this project, as a DiC-inspired version, but I moved that figure and Stalker into it because they fit pretty well. If there was one Hasbro SASF figure that was somehow better than the '82/'83 version, it was Stalker. But keeping a Hasbro SASF figure with this set wouldn't feel right. I have focused on giving them unique heads, trying to match the early Marvel appearances. That trend will be broken because Zap and Rock 'n Roll with both end up with '83 Ace heads. I'm happy with how Short-Fuze's glasses came out, but am thinking about swapping in a different head for Clutch. The roster will be wrapped up, probably sometime in '24. Going down the unnecessary Action Man/Council of Doom rabbit hole has slowed down my other projects. |
