I originally commissioned this to be part of my vintage Metalman universe, but upon completion I found it could be used with many different figures, GI Joe (modern and vintage), Micronauts, Fisher Price adventure people.

Anyway, the whole body was 3D printed but I did the lights (mish-mash of various sources as I can't wire lights for the life of me) and the seats are from vintage GI Joe Devilfish (I think) with mods. I still plan on printing some viewing panels for the cockpit. It's hard to tell from the pictures as my camera can't has to take pictures with full light but the underside has three lights, one at each "point" and a big red light at the center and three on the back for the "engines". I haven't decided if this is a backwards engineered vehicle, a captured alien craft, or a craft still operated by "other entities". It's roughly 10 inches wide, 16 inches long and about 2.5 inches tall.

Very smooth, 70's lines. Elegant design. For no particular reason, it reminds me of The Martian Chronicles miniseries.

The added lighting is fantastic!

Thanks guys! I had thought of adding some panels here and there, but the smooth facade (well, as smooth as 3D printing can be) really grew on me. That's another thing, I had thought about taking Bondo to the entire ship to smooth out the 3D printed lines, but dam that was going to be a lot of sanding. I quickly abandoned that idea.

I'm now working on an alien to pilot this vessel. I bounced some ideas off of 2DARK and think I may have come up with something. I've gotten on an alien kick and am in the process of making at least two versions into figures. The classic alien "grey", and this...

I've been fascinated by the whole UFO thing since I was a kid, but have become somewhat of a skeptic as I've grown older, but that hasn't kept me from still thinking the whole thing is interesting.
