So I've been noodling with a description of the entirety of the COBRA forces for the better part of the decade.

Seeing the cameo at the end of the last Transformers movie inspired me to dig into it again. I wanted to explain the basic kit for a standard viper and I isolated 3 components: The Helmet, Rifle, and Body Armor.

Nothing screams 80s Joe nostalgia like some forced Acronyms, I was wondering what you guys think:

Helmet - Helmet Outfitted for Offense/Defense aka H.O.O.D. (includes a HUD with Level II ballistic rating, integrated communications, navigation, target acquisition, video and audio recording, as well as limited environmental protections)

Rifle - Fully Automatic iNtegrated Gun aka F.A.N.G. (chambered in the 7.62x35mm cartridge. The weapon also includes an integrated proprietary shotgun mechanism for breaching purposes which fires a modified 50mm breaching round.)

Body Armor - Suit with Capabilities: Anti-ballistic. Load-bearing and Environmental Survival aka S.C.A.L.E.S. (level III ballistic rating and can be configured to suit environments and combat roles)

Are these described anywhere already? Are these too cornball?

I dig the acronyms. The only one that gives me pause if FANG cause of the helicopter. Still, I think Vipers could figure out what was being referenced based on context.

Then again, I was in the Infantry and saw as people's IQs disappeared so...

You're welcome. I just knew that the figures up to a certain era all had their weapons listed like that.
