TRU.com has some on clearance for 1/2 price $24.99
Excavator

Grader Truck

I think they are 1/16th scale. Most of Bruder Toys America vehicles are. Although I think they would work fine with Joes.

I checked out a local specialty store that has a wide variety of Bruder toys in stock. The attention to detail and realism of the toys are quite spectacular. They also have good play features, where the shovels and such function easily. It is true that they probably wouldn't hold up well to rough play, though.

While they are definitely 1:16th scale, it IS pretty close to Joe-size. The deal breaker for me, though (other than price) was that they easily dwarf all your other vehicles by comparison. For example, I was thinking of getting the forklift - good for dio opportunities and one of the least expensive Bruder items. But the commercial grade forklift is roughly the size of the MOBAT; that's right your team's forklift is as big as your Main Battle Tank.

How would they compare to BBi Elite Forces stuff though? Lots of those BBi vehicles dwarf Joe stuff too.

25 for that is nothing. At a ranch supply store I saw in scale grader, back hoe, dump truck, tractor, and others starting near that and going as high as 60.00 the look worth it too, for those with a lot of disposable income.

Goldbug,

They would stack up a little better with the bbi/21st Century stuff, since they don't fudge the scale like on some Hasbro vehicles. Even still, though, the Forklift was easily as big as my 21st Century Desert Humvee.
