While I was in the process of a dye project for my Cobra Legions Troopers, I came up with this:

Cobra Trooper attacking:

I always thought the knife looked more like a bayonet, so I added a hole to the knife and now I have a removable bayonet for my Cobra Troopers. Need to touch up the paint a bit on the knife though.

Also you can see my dye job on the web-gear. It shrunk a bit, but doesn’t look half bad for my first attempt. Need to paint the mask and leg straps black, so he matches the rest of my Cobra Troopers. Now onto the rest of the Legions Troopers I have. I hope you enjoy.

Cool idea
I don't know how practical it would be in the real world without a second anchor point, but it does look cool.

I was thinking the same thing, but the rifle itself is underscale. I might see if I can get some to scale AKs for my Troopers and then it might look more realistic. For now though it works for me. Thanks

Wonder if this trick will work on the Marauder AKs. I have all my troopers armed with the sans bayonet versions (CGs get the bayonet version) so I'll have to try this when I get home.

That is what I was thinking too...

I like it. It gives it a little more bulk and length. As far as real world applications go, I'm pretty sure nobody uses bayonets in the field. So these would be pretty much for show any way.

I don't know. WWII style bayonets only had one point of contact to the rifle barrel and they seem to have worked okay. But I see your point about this particular version being a little iffy.

Then again its not like a trooper is ever going to hit an enemy with one of those anyway. At least nowhere vital, probably a leg or an ear or something. They're lousy shots so I can't imagine them being any better with a bayonet up close

I have always wanted to pick up a few of the Marauders AKs. I just may now and see if it looks better. Also I think the AK is more practical for an everyday trooper over the SVD.

I don't know about them using them in the real world, but most rifles still have the bayonet attachment. The M4 and M16 still do and I would think the AKs too, as they really haven't changed much with any version. I don't know if today's troops are issued bayonets too, but one would think there is still a time and place for one in any battle field.
