Custom Con 19 has started

Custom Con 19 is up. http://www.toymania.com/customcorner/cc19/index.shtml

For those who have never seen Custom Con it is where a bunch of customizers create toylines as if they are being shown at Toyfair. Most of the time it is the usual Marvel or DC heroes stuff but there is always the lone GI Joe entry and sometimes an occasional outside the box entry that kicks butt. It will be going on daily for th rest of the week so check back.

Holy Cow man, I never heard of the custom con but some of those customs are beautiful

I have to say my favorite for today is the Runaways. Even if you're not a fan of the comic or Marvel Legends style figures you have to give the customier here some credit for the amount of detail in the painting and sculpting.

Doubledealer's custom sculpted Runaways is awesome. After seeing those, I never want to customize again. They are awesome.

Those Runaways are indeed awesome, but otherwise everything else is kinda "meh" so far.
Although some of the JLU customs ARE cool, I'm sick of seeing them now.
And G.I.Joe Universe.... :shifty:

Glassman's 3.75" Justice League figures are really, really nice:

So far, they're the stand-outs of Custom Con for me.

Also, I wish there was a place I could bet on the chances of seeing JLU-style Marvel characters (or non-DC JLU in general) at Custom Con so I could retire early somewhere in the Keys. It's seriously starting to get ridiculous.

The Indiana Jones figs are today's winners. It's nice to see something different besides Marvel heros in DC style and DC heros in Legends style.

Agree, those Indiana Figs are top notch today.
my single favorite is either JLU 'V' or Mockingbird.

Those the Twelve customs are badass even though they're JLU style. I think I like them so much because I'm a huge fan of the book.
And those DCD Marvel guys......10 kinds of awesome. Especially CBS Captain America

The Little bit of Justice figures were ok, but I think I'm spoiled and have seen better renditions done here. Some fo those BnB heads don't translate well for those characters.

The Indy figures are great. Tons of detail on those. They would have been my favorite if Indy didn't look like he just swallowed a fly. Still, if Hasbor released something like this I'd get a few to go along with the 3 and 3/4" figures.

For me the highlight of the day goes to the Sigma 6 Micronaughts. I just wish he had included some accessories because that would have been way cool.

Indy is definately the winner of this day, although the Micronaughts get points for obscure source material.
