Hey all! Finished him last night. This one took longer than expected. I had issues cracking the torso. LMKWYT.

T,
Really nice paint job on him. My only critique is that his torso looks long. But that's not your fault.

I really love itt. I noticed also when I tried to put the Zartan top on the Gung-ho bottoms..it seemed like an ill fit. I love this Zartan because it captures the original perfectly. Hasbro did a decent job to begin with and you took it over the top! Great job man.

Thanks guys for the comments. The Zartan/GH swap looks like an obvious exchange, but yes is very difficult to do and fit together. I'd had thought about cutting down the lower torso, but after all the issues with just getting the top open I said to heck with it. I used some extra plastic to try and hide the extra length, but had mixed results.

I think the extra plastic was a good try...but in the end I think it's hurt you even more.

I know it's a ton more work, but I think to get him really looking right...you need to cut the lower torso in half at the belt line...remove the bottom row of abs, and then re-glue the parts together...

25th Joes are lanky as it is...the extra length to the torso just makes it even more distracting.

This is probably the best traditional Zartan custom I've seen so far, though I also think that the Gung Ho torso is an issue. I find Gung Ho to be the most disapointing of all of the 25th figures mainly because of the stretched torso. When I do my Zartan (if I ever get around to it- i finally found an extra figure for fodder recently) I think I'm just going to dremel out his torso and sculpt in some abs. This really does look great, though. Seriously, best one I've seen.

I like him he looks great, but alot of your work on the 25th is great. I want to do the same looking zartan too, That's gotta suck the torso is so hard to get apart, hopefully mine i'nt whenever i try to do this.
Really good figure T
