I cut this guy to pieces! I put in a revoltech joint mid torso (has a pretty good rage), dremmeled out the crotch and added a t-hook with NF Nunchuk thighs, sculpted in the knees and added a soft goods skirt. This guy should have been like this right out of the box, imo.

Are the hips wide? Hard to tell. It's a vast improvement though. Love the action shots.

Not really following SW that much recently, yet had you not told me it was not a custom, then I wouldn't have guessed. Great job. I tried the same thing with an EP1 Obi-Wan years ago to get that double-kick action. Your's turned out lightyears ahead of mine.

John - they're about the same as the original. They kinda look wide in the pic because Nunchuks thighs have a weird kink in them. ;-) I'll post comparison pics when I get another. This one turned out a bit shorther than the original, which is cool because I though the trunk of the original fig wasn't realistic. :-/

Cool work. Takes crap articulation and improves the figure.
Only thing I can critique would be the knees.

Very nice! Now you just have to customize all of the other Star Wars figure the same way and we would have a absolutely amaizing line of toy.

I wish we could have them like that.

Very cool Marcus. Only thing I don't like is the odd projection to the knee when it's bent.

Myself, I'd've cut just above the Apprentice's knees, cut off Nunchuks knee, & then grafted the two together. Unless that's what Marcus did, then it's just Hasbro's goofy ass sculpters... :shifty:

... Or cut higher up & melded the upper part of Nunchuk's thigh with the Apprentice leg.

I've done loads of Jedi customs so far... I dunno if I posted them here or not...

Here's a group pic, but I can post single shots if any of you wanna see 'em. ;-)

Dave - If I did that, I would have lost a lot of articulation. I just had to make a compromise. If you look at the original figure, you can see the sculpting I've done on the thighs around the knee joint is similar, but without the half cup behind the knee (that would have restricted it).
That being said, they way it turned out is similar to other double knee articulation, so I can bend the joint below the knee, as opposed to on top of the knee (like in the pictures). It cuts out the gap, but looks weird due to upper/ lower leg length.

I can take some pics if you like. ;-)

It's been a while since I've looked at mine, I'll have to dig him out & see what you mean.
