Don't tell Sputnik - but I never really liked Mindbender. Maybe it was the gay mustache. Maybe it was the gay outfit. Maybe it was because he was so over-the-top he seemed like a big purple joke. (Or maybe it's because I still can't find the right parts for a custom Mindbender that I like
)But I did really enjoy Dr. Venom. He wasn't a Mad Scientist, he was just an evil genius. And a weasely bastard on top of that. I figure I found a way to resurrect Kwinn, why not his arch-nemesis? I've been trying for years to come up with a decent custom version of him. In fact, my first-ever use of Super-Sculpey yielded a pretty decent Venom head (a POTF2 Tarkin head with sculpted hair.) Unfortunately, while putting this custom together last night, I chipped off a good chunk of the Sculpey (which is why I use Green Stuff only nowadays
). But the Tarkin head as-is works perfectly anyway. Once I discovered that Golden Compass Sam Elliott's duster made a perfect lab coat, I knew I was all set.So here he is:
