This guy's been finished for a couple months now... looking at mine all done in a SF green beret made Xhairs want to do a new version of his. I think I finished him the same week I made Dusty. And I totally forgot.

But now finally, here's my version of Dial Tone.

I've always been a fan of the character and wanted to make one for a long time, then the recipe came to me Yes, he's Special Forces qualified. He can kick some ass; he ain't bothered if he has to kill somebody.

his backpack is super-tech, it's his own design: Image

The head seems to sit a teensy bit high on the neck and the moustache is a little bushier than I prefer on DT but other than those nitpicky things I think you did a good job. Got any details on what makes up the pack? I need to work on a new one for my DT methinks.

He's got a bit of a long neck, but you can get away with it. Great work capturing the ARAH look and feel. Love the backpack.

JD,

He looks good. As for the neck... we dont all have the same size neck. Some dont have one and others have long ones...

I think the figure looks great, I dont get a Dial Tone vibe from him, but for some reason I see him as a british special forces guy. Fantastick work on him regardless.

the backpack is actually just a Hoth Rebel's backpack with bits of Muskrat v3's laser super pistol and the wrist gauntlets from the VvV Joes attached to it with some minimal sculpting.

nice avatar, TC, that's some old school and forgotten about Nick Toons memories right there. :-)

thank you for the kind words.

That is so awesome! Anyways, is that a 25th Joe Canuck in the background?

Nice job! The mustache is well done and I really have to concentrate to be able to see the Flint head behind it. It can be really hard to make a head not look like it's former character, but you did it nicely. ;)

Same here, he seems to have that British SF look. I really like him though - great work!

That is a damned fine mustache. Damned fine.

I like him - and I love the Joe Canuck. I think that my version will now be sporting the Marauder mini-gun from now on as well. (though Mr. Canuck does usually have Brown gloves. ;-) )

I agree he does have "a bit ol Britt to im" but I'm diggin him just the same. Did I see that you used a Flint head? Great job if I can ever get my lab setup (provided I can get at least two adult kids to move out) I'm gonna hook up a Dial tone too.
