Just looking at my best scar now - 6 years later and I remember the scar but not the custom that gave it to me. Sad, kind of.

I was thinking the same thing while looking at this thread the other day. Last spring I went a little too hard while cutting the waist off of a figure with a hobby saw and put the blade right into the knuckle on my left index finger. I didn't think it warranted stitches, so I just let it heal naturally...which it did, but not without leaving a weird, surprisingly painful bump on the knuckle. Eventually, I went to the doctor, and got referred to a hand specialist who told me that I had actually all but severed the tendon on that side of my finger, but that the tendon on the other side had been doing all the work while it healed. The bump (which was apparently scar tissue) is still there, but no longer painful, but I can't believe I forgot which custom I was working on when I did it. I hope it was a good one.

I remember how I got my first real bad one--on the joint of my index finger on my left hand.
I was cutting the flower off the shirt of a Harry Muddy playmate Star Trek figure.

Xacto cuts always freak me out the most. For a split second after slicing into the finger I'm like, "Oh good, it wasn't that bad. For a second there I thought-" *Starts gushing blood and hurriedly runs to the bathroom to stop the bleeding.*

Seriously, I swear it is like the ninja movies where the one guy sword fighting with the other guy slices him in half only you don't realize it until the top half of the body starts sliding off.
:swordfight:
So now, for the second after that first second, I'm in a state of fear that my finger is just going to fall off.

In the last week, I have hit my left forefinger and thumb with a mini rotary saw. Not too bad, though.

Every time!

Occasionally, I won't realize I've cut myself, so I'm just working along and suddenly "Why am I bleeding?"

I once leather punched my left thumb through the tip. Went to clean the wound and once I washed the blood off I applied pressure to keep from bleeding while a grabbed a band aid. I looked down and wonder why my thumb was again covered in blood. That was when I relised I had penetrated through the thumb nail as well. Never use the leather punch of a multi tool as a pry bar.

Took a layer of skin off my right forefinger with my Dremel boring out a head to use in a new custom. Also cut the skin inbetween the middle finger and ring finger on my left hand with a pair of scissors while removing the silencer off of a 2002 Snake Eyes uzi.

I've cut my forefingers a little with exacto knives, but nothing too serious.

But, I've superglued my fingers together. Multiple times.
