I've got about 6 feet of this type fence. I got it for an urban dio idea I had that I lost interest in. Is this close to what you had in mind? It's die cast metal w/ painted bases on the post. It's thick....might be tough to cut.

I was just at AC Moore to pick up some sculpey, and on the same aisle, they had wire mesh to use as underlayment for papier mache. I looked at it pretty closely, and thought to myself, man, tjhat would make excellent diamond-hole grating for Joe vehicles and dios. It was flexible, thin enough to cut with kitchen shears, and most of all, IT IS IN SCALE. There were three different sizes of holes and two finishes. Then i read yer post after i got home.

I'll have to hit AC More tomorrow and look into it.
