ARAH T-Bar Hook Orientation Poll

so, do you guys orient the leg hook with the opening to the back, or the front, or doesn't it matter --

as a personal choice, i always orient the opening to the the back of the figure,
i feel like it gives the figure more 'up-righted-ness' but i can't prove it.

as a side note, when using a 'used' o-ring, i alway put the worn-in 'v' over the the back screw plastic post,
and use the rounded portion over the t-bar hook -- in (vain?) hope that it prolongs the o-ring's life.

I haven't really thought about it.

I just went through about 10-12 WIPs on my desk and all but one have the open part of the hook at the front.

I say go with what is factory.

I don't even pay attention to that. Perhaps I should?

I do both the things JM70 does. Altho I can't recall it ever being an issue, I reasoned that turning the t-bar around meant the o-ring would be more unlikely to unhook off the t-bar due to the wider 'restraint' presented by the wider surface area of the inner ass in the pelvis.

And spinnign the o-ring around so the worn point was over the screwhole shaft gave it a wider contact area to spread the tension around a bit. Also, the non-worn-in half of the o-ring now going thru the t-bar hook pulled up more, increasing the tension of the legs and pelvis up against the torso. That bit was evident on every such fig I did it to, it was a quick and easy way to save the life of the o-ring and restore the fig's tightness.

Sometimes when a torso sits very badly on the waist I will twist the hook carefully. Along with a fresh O-Ring it can help a lot.

Old ones are easily broken however.
