1:18 scale pianos?

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

That's pretty much it, really. Anyone got tips on locating, building a 1:18 scale grand piano? I'd prefer some durability, so those sites with printouts that fold together would be a last resort...

Thanks!

Dusty Hayes/Salvo in a Can/ Redzone had one at some point for a mini dio he did, IIRC. You might try and look him up to see where he got it.

Most dollhouse items are in scale with Joes. Maybe those will work?

Or try the store in your area.

Heres some Playmobil ones:

The biggest issue with Playmobil is that the furniture is typically just a WEE BIT to short. I've found that adding a small length of comparable dowel to the legs adds the needed height to be Joe compatable.

Aw, dag. That Playmobil one actually play music?! Gonna have to save my pennies for that one...

Thaks for the tips guys. I'll look into those other options too :D I've wanted that Mc Farlane Phantom set for a good while now, but it's sort of pricey too.

We have a year round Christmas store here that has ornaments of keyboards in Joe scale. A grand piano, a melodigrand, and even an electronic keyboard like the Moog variety. I'll see if I can get the Mum-in-law to stop by to get pix of them. They range from $7.99 to $8.99 each. Plastic and Metal construction. I had the Moog variety, and I think I used it in Phil's Springfield dio, in the music store.

1/18th scale grand piano?

What are you doing now?

[thinks about famous piano players]

Hmmmm....

Liberace + Dr. Mindbender = Minderace?

Jerry Lee Bender?

Little Bender?

Elton Johnbender?

Ray Bender?

Fats Bender? (sound German) :)

Ferrante and Teicher do have the Dr. Mindbender 'stache

Actually, a dio involving Dr. Mindbender obtaining the DNA from history's most famous piano players would make for an interesting custom...

Nice! I was hoping you would have some good info for me. That sounds like it'd be my price range, if the scale works well. I'm looking for a grand piano if possible

Thanks Cap!
