Does anyone know how to Vac-Metal?

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

I'm wanting to make a 25th Cobra de Aco and was wondering if anyone knew to to Vac-Metal the head. I saw you had a link for it at one time, but the site is no longer up. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

I do know that Nova sent a few pieces off to have them professionally done, and it wasn't that expensive.

Either PM him, or maybe he'll see this thread and share the info with everyone.

I've looked into a Do it your self start-up kit...and I'm pretty sure the cost was somthing like $200, just to get up and running....I've prolly spent at least that much with ChrometechUSA, but I'm plenty satisfied with their quality.

http://www.chrometechusa.com/ is the correct address for their sight.

Budget around $5 per part you want chromed....but be sure to give them a call and talk them through what you want to do.

You may want to find a Casting of the Snake Eyes head, rather than sending a Production Head....The Softer plastic in the New figures may not take the Vac-Metal as well as Vintage ARAH parts.

I know they had a difficult time with The Green Accessory pack Visors I sent them and then used on Cross and The Veteran

For figures like my Cobra Mortal and Glenda I think I only paid about $3 per part...but they have a total of 12 seperate parts that I had chromed.
