1993 Armor-Tech figures, deconstruction tips?

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

Anybody try to take apart the Armor-Tech action figures? I'm not too inclined to just remove the figure head and crazy glue that together, I'd like to salvage any parts as safely as possible to prevent scratches and chipping on the parts.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Bueller? :-/

*cricket sounds* :shifty:

Hammer?

If for some reason you want to keep the armor Tech body and use it for a custom, I find the best place o start is crotch.

If you make the figure do a split, you can then work an exacto in and slice the seam from thigh to thigh. Either it will be enough to split the seam, or you'll cut the two corner pegs and the small lip between the legs...but after that you should have enough space to slip a flat head screw driver in....work it in twisting a little as you go to pop the seam and glued pegs.

Nova beat me to the Hammer option. ;-)

Careful, those parts shatter like glass! I lost Hawk that way.

Hawk is the only Armor Tech figure I've seen with that problem...and thats only because he's made of the magical Gold plastic that prefers to return to it's natural powdered state.

I've split 2 or 3 Robo Joe's,a couple Destros, and at least one Rock N' Roll with no problems.
