Help with Green RIT Dye

I was working on a custom of the DD Greenshirt and attempted to RIT Dye them using the Dark Green color. When I took them out I was surprised to find everything was Black. This clearly won't due for a [i]Green[i] shirt, so I come to you for some help. Has anyone successfully RIT dyed the color green, and if so, what did I do wrong? lol.

I ran across similar problems with RIT green dye. One item I dyed turned purple. Your best bet for green is using blue and yellow Dyes. The color will change depending on what the base color is. If you dye it yellow first then blue it should come out green. The problem with dying the DD greenshirts green is that they are already green and the added green will just darken it more. Try the yellow than blue dye seperately.
