Steel RHINO Concept (or 'Pimp my R.H.I.N.O.')

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

Howdy,
It's been a while since I've last been on here, but I recently managed to score a well-wanted RHINO(v) for $15 and tax. Looking at this little wonder, I've been thinking about a custom camo scheme for my custom Steel Brigade group. (In the spirit of the 80s, I'd dub it the Steel Rhino.) I'd want the whole thing a (marbleized) steel blue with desert tan sprayed/airbrushed on the top and jungle green brushed from underneath.

Enough about my idea -- has anyone else come up with ways to customize their own R.H.I.N.O.s?

I like the idea of the Steel Brigade one though, good like trying to get the swirls pattern painted that would be one heck of a paint job.

Your Tiger Rhino is killer! Very accurate paint job.
I might've coated the single-shot launcher in black, but red says Tiger Force more prominently.
I can already see a crew of :duke2: :frostbite2: :roadblock3: :dusty2: :recondo2: :bazooka2: :lifeline2: manning the transport, with :flint2: and TF Wild Bill flying the copter.

When I first thought of it, Steel Blue by itself seemed like a good idea, but I also liked the marbleized Steel Skyhawk.

While re-crewing mine for display, I just recently (and by accident) shot my Action Soldier's bazooka at the inside of the left door. Despite a noise that should have punched a hole into it, not a dent! I decided to test fire again at the "armored" door (made out of softer plastic). Again, the door survived without a scratch or stress mark. It's nice to know that my Joes own a vehicle that appears to be IED-proof. It's also a good thing that the bazooka is on their side!

P.S.: Is it just me, or does Cannonball remind anyone else of the Dukes of Hazzard's Cooter? Plus, I keep wanting to make an old-sculpt Cooter/Cannonball using Steam Roller's head (complete with Cooter's "DOG" hat).
