'83 Headquarters Size Question

I need to know the dimensions of the '83 Headquarters for a custom idea I have. Specifically I need to know how wide and deep it is (footprint). Dimensions of the seperate sections would be helpful in planning also.

My plan is to use the PTE HQ as the ground floor level of a new Pitt with the '83 Headquarters as the first sublevel then the Aliens playset I have as the rest of the sublevels. So I need dimensions to plan what modifications I need to make to the PTE HQ before I commit to picking up a Joe HQ.

Luckily, I have an HQ and a tape measure right next to my desk:

Main space (jail, cannon housing, computer banks) is 21.5 deep x 13 inches wide. 18d x 13w if you take out the front armored part that holds the cannon (talking floorspace only in that sense.)

"Motor Pool" bays are each 14"d at the longest part, 13"d at the shortest x 8" wide.

Overall assembled HQ takes up a footprint of 21.5"d x 29.25"w.

Helicopter pad is 9.5" square.

Yeah, I'd love to see how this turns out -- I thought about doing something similar with my HQs (got 2 of them) and the PTE HQ.

Now to find an Aliens set or two.....

Okay need a couple more measurements please Need the height of the various sections. Just the max height of each so I can determine if I can use them for addons to the lower sections of my base or not.

Here's what I have:

Vehicle bays at the highest point (front wall): 6"
Front of HQ (where the cannon sits): 6"
Jail Cell area: 5.5" (from the "floor": 5")

are the old bases hard to find nowadays?

Depends. Easy to find and pretty cheap, bit with shippibg can get a little pricey. I just picked one up 120 (that's shipping included)

But I also went after one that had all pieces, no broken parts, in good shape, and had blueprints (for collection)

I am sure you can get a 80 percent one for hella cheaper than that.
