all you [fellow] resin casters --
i just picked up a tip on how to eliminate bubbles after pouring -- especially on resins with a longer 'set' --
use a heat gun (not a hair dryer) at a short distance over the surface of the mold for a brief time --
like painting -- a few short passes is better than a long sustained one, as to not overheat the set up,
especially since the polymerization is usually exothermic -- you don't want plastic spatters in your eye!
also, try not to hold the gun at an angle that could 'blow the resin' causing it to splash out of the mold.
check again in 5 to 10, repeat if necessary.
-- from the book, 'The Art of Resin Jewelry' by Sherri Haab. don't ask.
