Ultra Flat Camo paint question

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

I read a bit back about members using the Krylon Ultra Flat Camo paints as base coats for customs. I finally remembered to check for these at Wal-Mart last night and saw that they had them but the cans said it included "Fusion technology" for plastic. Is this the same Fusion that people say to stay away from like the plague? Or is it just the Krylon Fusion line of paints that should be avoided?
Thanks for any advice or input.

What's wrong with the Krylon Fusion paints? I've used them a few times and haven't had any problems. I always go for the satin or flat versions though. Gloss makes me chafe.

it is fusion, but I cannot tell a difference between the new and the old.

In a thread I read in the old board several people complained of problems with the Fusion saying everything from it being too thick to wrinkling. I have used the Fusion before on Repro Microman parts (Lady Command Chest and upper legs) before and I thought it came out fine with all the detail still showing. I haven't tried Fusion on Joes before though or on parts with joints (like arms). I wonder if it would fuse the joints or would they still be usable?

with the ultra-flats, you are fine. Not sure about any of the other fusions

I've used the Satin finish before with no problems whatsoever. Its just like any other spray paint, you have to apply it in thinner coats, don't spray it all in one shot otherwise you will get drips, fisheye, etc.
