New character concept / design site

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

I've just started a new blog dedicated to showing my own G.I. Joe figure concepts and designs. I hope to post new art at least a few times a week. I used a popular online character creator to make the art. It's starting off very basic, but I'd be interested to see what people think:

The first image I added was based on the unproduced 1995 Baroness figure. See it attached here. I've posted a few more since then.

Check back later today, and I'll have something new up.

In case folks are still interested, I've got up unproduced 1995 concepts for Ace and Footloose and have since put up an alternate Snake-Eyes looking like the other original 13 Joes, as if he never had his tragic accident.

And later today, I'll be adding one or two more.

Nice, I like that Footloose!
I've used the Hero Creator a few times in the past for fun and thought it would be useful for a future Group Project too. Reminder to myself: suggest that in the GP section....

Yes, the site I use is heromachine.com. They have a new version called HM3, which is supposedly a beta version, but it works well and they add items all the time. It's easy to use, but there's a lot more you can do with it if you spend enough time.

I've used it for years and did well in some of their character creating contests (under a different name :)). I have some older projects I may share even if these newer ones probably look better. Some of their items look rather familiar to superhero fans, and they have a very interesting rifle folks on this site may appreciate. (Shhh!)

Yesterday I put up a "warm weather Snow Job" design. I may have more up later today.

I really dig that warm weather Snow Job.

The latest update is kind of a fun one. Bazooka is obviously wearing a New England Patriots jersey, but I wanted to "correct" it by giving him a shirt that actually matches one or two of the REAL Patriot's uniforms.

Now let's see Snake Eyes in a Yankee jersey!

I'm afraid that can't happen. Being from Massachusetts, it would be a betrayal to Red Sox fans. Like Cutter.

amazingwelkin's post made me check out http://www.heromachine.com/ again, and I realized that we haven't played with that toy for a while.

So here's your Friday Challenge. Pick an Existing Joe or Cobra that is "Your" Joe or Cobra, and give them a complete makeover in the Heromachine.

I'll start with my Modern Raptor:

BIIIIIIIRRRRRRDDDDDMMMMAAAAANNNNNNNNN!

Seriously though - I've always wondered if his CPA office is in the same building as Harvey J. Birdman's law office...

Not technically a redesign, but I'm just getting the hang of the creator.
