Ideas for Legions pack Storm Shadows.

In the vein of the above thread, what ideas do people have for the VvsV deco storm shadows?

His modern coloring sticks out like a sore thumb among the classic figures for the rest of the line, but every time I look at him, his kick ass cobra symbol emblazoned face leaves me puzzled as to what to do with him.

I want to try bashing a VvV Stormshadow's head and thighs onto the Legions SS and see how that comes out. I think the sculpted dragons on the thighs would look a LOT better than the half-ass painted "dragons" on the Legion SS legs. Same with the sigil on the head. The detailing is just a lot more intricate on the VvV figure than the Legions figure. I need a VvV Stormshadow to try it out though. The one I had sacrificed himself to my GI Jedi project.

I did this. The VvV thighs need a bit of modding to fit, but it looks great. The only problem is, it makes him a giant. About as tall as 25th Destro.

I'm using them as some sort of ceremonial Arashikage guard.

I think the red Dragon deco really lends them to a ceremonial role.

If you're into Star Wars, I'd mod them into super-articulated Jedi. I can really see that bodytype lending itself to Expanded Universe characters. Bash some Jedi/Sith parts onto that mofo.

You could also repaint the figure and make a stealth/infiltration Storm Shadow, or a straight-up regular ninja.

My favorite application so far has been Adrien Veidt's Arashikage trainee Bruce Wayne, which is cool as all hell... it wasn't the Legions SS, but same difference, y'know? See for yourself:

Got a couple of straight up repaints going, and thinking of doing a couple with head swaps. I've got five of em and I prefer the V1 look actually. The "dragon" details just look like an after thought to me, except for the head.

The first one I'll finish will be Ninja Ku the black and gold version.

His thighs are great because they don't have straps or holsters. His head can be painted black, gray, blue, etc. for use on any number of generic Cobra soldiers. I'm using the head for a masked Sam Fisher custom I have on my work table back home.

I was just gonna use mine for generic Red Ninja leaders. The idea that the Ninjas are red, the Dragon SS are Red and White and that SS is pure white seems like a chain of command-type thing to me.
