Why doesnt Micheals/hobby stores carry Testors acrylic paint

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

My Walmart used to sell couple of Testors acrylic colors/paint sets in the model kit section. But when I goto Micheals or the local hobby shop, its only in enamels they have a wide selection of colors to choose from. So the only place for me to get Testors acrylics is their website.

My local Hobby Lobby is split down the middle with Testor's oils and water-based paints. I'm thinking this sort of thing is very much left up to individual store discretion, so I'd start talking to managers.

The Michael's here does, or did--but only in the bright colors used for race cars (the 7 bottle set). Everything else Testor's was enamel.

AC Moore (right down the road) doesn't even get that far--Testor's enamel only. I guess the main reason is these tend to be a "high end" paint aimed at a more specific market (model railroaders, customizers, miniature enthusiasts) than these stores were designed to cater to; they're more aimed at the crafter/art school student/amateur artist, the ones who want useful stuff without paying a lot for it.
