Pic request: AOD deadites next to 25th or WWE BnB figures??

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

I'm thinking of buying some of these guys to use their armor for some barbarian figures, and am just wondering if anyone's made any customs by adding their armor to a Joe or other base figure.

I'm hoping the WWE Build n brawl figures will make good base bodies to make some Conan inspired barbarians. I just hope the armor's not too small.

Anyone have any comparison pics of the deadites with a 25th joe or newer SW fig?
Or even better, a new pic of them next to a WWE figure?

the new WWE figs are smaller than the 25th figs. check viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5012 that thread in the off topic section about the WWE figs.

I've got both at home, if I remember tonight I'll post some pics for ya.

Great, thanks man. I appreciate that if you can.

Here ya go :-D

Heads-up: the armor is *extremely* difficult to get off the Deadite if you're looking to keep both once you're done. If you don't mind destroying the Deadite, it'll still be difficult but you'll have less to worry about.

Sweet! Thanks man, this is looking like it can work. I figure if Dino DeLaurentis produced the Conan movies, and also AOD, then is it really a coincidence that a lot of the Deadite armor looks like the stuff from Conan? I think not.

I'd assumed it was that nice flexible plastic glued to a harder plastic torso. If it's pretty hard to get off, then it's sounding more complicated.

For the gauntlets and grieves (arms and legs) i'd planned on just hollowing the armor out and sliding it on. But from the pic, the arms look to skinny..Anyone comment on that? Yay or nay?
I'm more concerned with the armor than the deadites, it'd really be a bonus if i was able to get some undead peoples outta the deal once i get the armor off and onto it's respective owners.

I'll keep you guys posted on how this works.

It's flexible, but I wouldn't call it rubbery. It's the glue holding the two plastics together that's the problem, that "LASER BLAST"'s *strong*.

ahh, i usually boil the figures to soften the glue. It seems to work better with flexible stuff.
