Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

Okay, so how exactly can you rip these guys apart?

I know about the head and the shins (well part of the shins), and the hands/feet should be easy enough (just pull I assume), but what about the upper torso?

I'd like to have a general idea of what I'm doing before I go frankensteining.

I took a razor blade to the seam under the arm on the upper part of the torso.

There's already been a long-winded thread where we all hash out the pros and cons of the two basic methods. I don't see an advantage to the Official method, which costs extra money for extra tools and runs the risk of bashing the neck post off the torso; but read the thread and see for yourself.

kimiyo at Hisstank posted a third method:

I'm telling you guys its simple. Take a flat head screwdriver and insert the flat tip in between the upper back torso and lower back torso and give it a twist. The piece will seperate with ease. No need for hammers or blocks of wood.

No visible marks are left. If there is any marks its inside were no one will know but you. I have cracked open 3 so far with no resistance.

At the big noticible Joint in the 25A figure's torso...the mid chest swivel if you will. The lower torso is rounded (Convex) on the top, the Upper torso is bowled (Concave) I think he's saying if you slide your screwdriver upwards into the joint in the back, then twist it you should pop the glue and seams just as if you whacked the figure with a hammer.

It all ammounts to finding a point and applying leverage

Well, he posted pictures and I found out what the problem was...Screwdriver was too small. Got a bigger one, gave the comic 2 pack Storm Shadow a twist, and BAM.

Course his back did get prety manged from the earlier attempts, but its not like I was actually going to use him for anything anyway. He was the guiniepig who died, in the name of Doc, and SCIENCE!!!

Anyone else having trouble using that technique on Officers/The enemy's?
