Broken Shoulder Joint. Help?

Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

So after spending weeks tracking down a 25th Snow Job, I get him home, open him up and his arm pops off at his shoulder. LAAAAME.

I really want to salvage this figure so after getting the torso apart and finding the end of the shoulder post afterwards, I have been trying to super glue the parts together with little luck. They make a strong bond but when I try to put him back together it continues to break. I've done some shaving and have made sure that things are not too tight.

Any advice from you guys who may have run into similar problems? Thanks

Call hasbro...Send it back to them.

It's really not worth the time and effort to try and fix somthing like that on a modern joe...

If you're dead set on fixing the part, you'll need to Pin the peice as well as glue it for added strength.

Since it's a shoulder, and it will rotate on the same axis you can Prolly get away with just one pin, so it will still rotate on the pin even if the glue bond breaks. use a small pin vice drill to drill a small hole down the center of the disk and into the shoulder joint...don't go so far that you get into the internal structure of the modern shoulder. Trim a small steel or if you can find them plastic pin to length and use push it through the drilled holes....add glue and the repair should be done.
