What methods does everyone use to stop the looseness in the various joints of ARAH figures?
For knees I take a piece of clear tape (like for wrapping gifts) and pull off a piece less than a 1/4 inch long.
The width now is about twice as long as the length.
I then take the lower leg and place the tape vertically up one side over the top of the leg piece and then down the other side (trimming if necessary).
I then take a thumbtack and poke through the hole so the upper leg pegs will go through.
I have had repeated success with this and the clear tape allows the color of the figure part to come through.
Shoulder ball-joints I use either tape again or I use the small rubber bands (similar to those hated clear plastic ones that the toy manufacturers use to keep the figures securely in the package. These aren't the heavy wires, but the ones that hold the Star Wars figures in or the guns on the GIJOE comic packs...
I also use these bands to keep swivel heads secured tightly in torsos.
As for elbow joints I am at a loss. I can use these color bands for actual armbands to tighten them up (think like the Ultimate Warrior's arm string thingies).
I thought about the shrink-tubing in various colors, but am not sure if they would work or how they would take paint.
Any suggestions?
