Got a tip to share? Have a question about the hobby? Need input on parts or weapons? Have great idea for a custom figure or vehicle? Too lazy to do it, or just want to share the idea with others? All that and more goes in here.

Has anyone tried putting magnets inside the torso cavity of joes? I thought it would be neat to have Alpine and Hit & Run climbing up my refrigerator or office cubicle but I don’t want to glue magnets to them. Any thaughts?

I've never done it but it wouldn't be all that hard. They have what are called rare earth magnets. These are tiny (about the size of a head of a nail) magnets that are pretty powerful. One could glue about a 6 or so of these small magnets into a RAH torso and maybe one in each foot. That would give you the desired effect. They aren't all that expensive either. I saw them the other day at the craft store at $2 for a package of 4.

They sound ideal, you should buy em up and sell em on ebay for $4 each :P

Rare earth magnets are so strong, 4 would be enough. As for ebay, customize a figure and post pics in the sale and you'll make a ton of money :-D

I don't have a link handy...but there's a company that produces magnetic action figure display stands...basicly figure stands with magnets in the base...could use those.

I'm not sure just stuffing magnets in a figure's chest would give you the desired look... it'd be cooler to take some button magnets and dremel down into feet, hands or parts of accessories to mount the magents flush with a surface and then stick them to the fridge.

I did somthing similar on the backpack of my Space Ninja Crystal Ball... the Jump connects to the Astro VIper pack with a couple pairs of magnets.
