Taking apart 25th Scarlett and Stormshadow

So I've taken apart multiple 25th figures using either the mallet or the screwdriver wedging methods, but I just cannot get these two to budge. Any tips?

I used a razor blade on Storm Shadow with no problems. Start under is arm on the torso and work up. Do this on both sides. Then I use a small flat head screw driver to pry him open.

I use a #11 Xacto for all of my 25th disassembling needs. Just slice into the seam, twist, pop, done.

I'm having some trouble slicing into the hard plastic of the torso. Any tips?

I've taken two Scarletts, and a siegie apart, so far. I just keep scoring the seem the under the arms, untill the plastic's thin enough to push the blade through. Once that part is seperated on both sides, you can just pry the whole thing apart.

This is what i do also, if the mallet doesnt work within the first minute.

I've found ones with a backpack peg hole dont pop as easy as one without backpack a peg hole.

Yeah, don't slice into the torso, wedge it into the seam between the two halves, right under the arm. The best way I've found it to turn the torso sideways (which gives you more room to work with) then insert the blade cutting side up at the base of the seam and work it upwards, Once it's at about the part where the shoulder connects to the torso, remove the blade and repeat for the other side. Then, once you reach the shoulder on that side, twist the blade a bit a few times and it should pop open.

I don't know how you guys are doing this because now I'm left with a gap between the seam but still not all the way through the plastic so now it won't fit back together again if I open the torso.

My blade is deforming the soft plastic and if I try to pry the torso open, the screwdriver or blade just bites deeper into the plastic, further deforming it.

That happens to me, but after i put it back together, i just re touch the seem using some apoxie... to touch up the part that got deformed. i also usualy end up cutting a peg off, so a bit of extra super glue is also needed.

How sharp is your blade? I don't normally work with a pristine fresh blade as I'm too liable to hack hunks of meat out of myself; but I get a new one when I have to crack a chest. It's *greatly* minimized the deformation I had when the figs first came out.
