To paint camo patterns, I've used several different techniques.

*Drawing on the pattern first and then painting in the shapes
*Masking off the "negative" areas and spray painting
*Random brushstrokes

I'm working on a figure now but I want to try something new. Something more akin to sponge-painting walls. I don't know what would deliver paint evenly on the plastic surface.

Any ideas?

i was thinking about actually using small piece of sponge on a figure. have tested it & results were pretty good but i used primer then a base coat & the paint stuck really well, not sure how well it would work on plastic........

For stamping I've used toothpicks, nail heads, and small blobs of clay.

Another different method I tried was splattering paint on by rubbing over a toothbrush. You can kind of see it here, but you can see it much better here.
