Howdy, y'all.
This is an update to a thread I started back in January, during my quest to locate paint mixes for specific Hasbro-made mold and paint colors. This thread is meant to help anyone who wants their customs to blend in with other rank-and-file Joes and Cobras. Like with the wiki article, I'm trying to match these colors mainly using cheaper, easily found paints such as Apple Barrel and Delta Ceramcoat.
Because I did find a few of the colors I was looking for, let me start by listing off the ones I have found.
Aero-Viper Teal (near match to
's flight suit)- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Leaf Green
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Too Blue
Green 1; an exact match)- 2 drops of Apple Barrel Leaf Green
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Brown Oxide
's face; similar to my own skintone)- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Golden Brown
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Brown Oxide (2 for a darker shade, as used on CP #7 Stalker's hands)
too, as I'd hoped; unsure if it matches 
)- 5 drops of Apple Barrel Royal Violet (6 drops for a richer, darker violet, as used on
's upper arms) - 1 drop of Apple Barrel Sky Blue (In my world, sky blue = Crayola's. In Apple Barrel's, the sky is a dismal, grayish color.)
- (The 5 drop version is meant to be a close match to 's painted torso and helmet.)
's arms and collar)- Apple Barrel Pool Blue (no mixing needed!)
's pants)- 2 drops of Apple Barrel Toffee
- 2 drops of Apple Barrel Golden Brown
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Yellow
- 5 drops of Apple Barrel White (There should be one drop of White for every drop of Toffee, Golden Brown, and Yellow.)
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Sandstone
(Think of Sandstone as an equalizing agent. The resulting color is a much closer match with it, but a nice near miss can be made without it.)
's kneepads and helmet frame)- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Leaf Green
- 1 drop of Apple Barrel Forest Green (2 drops to make a richer jungle green as used on all 6 members of Slaughter's Maruaders)
- 2 drop of Delta Ceramcoat Midnight Blue
- 2 drop of Apple Barrel Too Blue (1 drop to match some yellowed parts)
- 1 drop of Delta Ceramcoat Ocean Reef Blue
Again, this was tested against a 1983
v1.5. Other blue Cobras in my collection are 
, 
, and the 2004 Cobra Infantry 6-pack.
Other colors that I am looking for include
- Heavy Duty v8's light skintone OR Roadblock v3
's skintone - (I may or may not have mixed a close match to Comic 3-Pack Green
, but have forgotten the formula. If I have, I'll be sure to list it in this thread.)
Steel Brigade Green 1 (Used on Steel Brigade 1A-E's vest or Duke v2's shirt)
Crimson Guard ... "Crimson"Also, if anyone is offering to share paint with others, I still would like to get Apple Barrel's Cinnamon Apple, and Medium Flesh.

, I learned by a fluke that his blue matched Snake-Eyes v4 and my SM Spirit and Barbecue. (I wonder what Hasbro or Pantome color he is?)
I've whipped up a few batches but half the time forget to write them down and lately my matches seem to be coming close, instead of as exact as they used to be. I have come up with some offbeat colors, such as Doll Flesh, which very much resembles the skin color of 12" Joe and similar figures from the 1970s, but that's about it.
