Taught to me by a friend, this method allows you to fill gaps in minutes without having to wait 3+ hours for Apoxie Sculpt or other putties to cure. You can use talcum powder as well. This may be common knowledge to experienced customizer but I figured a guide using a GI Joe would be good for reference as that new SS body with the cuts in it is a great base...aside from the cuts, heh.

Cool - I think I may have heard of it before, but I've never tried it.

Should have given it a shot when I made my Kilowog a while back -- filling in those cracks on the MU Thing was a huge pain in the arse.

Thanks for the how-to!

That's a great tutorial, John. Thanks for the 1/18 scale love.

I'm gonna have to try this. I've been using white glue, but that takes forever to dry, or super glue gel.

Welcome! Filling seams/panel lines is super easy with this method too.

You know, I have a glue/powder combo set I bought years ago for filling in holes to repair old Johnny West figs, and I really never even thought to dig it out for anything in this scale. The powder was more of a granulated resin, but this is a great tip instead.

Dangit! I already used apoxy. Does the paint stay on as well as a more porous compound?
