Quicky: I need to take some paint off of a 25th anniversary figure. I want to use the paint underneath for my custom. What kind of thinner should I use? I know they can be pretty potent and I don't want to destroy my figure. |

Try 91% isopropyl alcohol. wet the corner of a folded paper towel with some and see if that works to wipe off the paint you want to remove. I don't know that you'll be able to strip 1 single layer of paint off of a figure, leaving the undercoat of paint untouched...I don't think it can be done. |

Are you talking about a factory paint app or a custom paint app? Makes a big diff, man. |
