I finally sit down with my Snowcat, after agonizing over the right color of white to paint it to ditch the marbleized plastic. I get out my citadel paints (once I remember where they are!), and get ready to go to town on this baby.

And I can't...find...a single brush. Not my prized super thins from the hobby shop I went to every week till it closed, not my cheapies, nuttin'.

Anyone got some good suggestions for small, detail brushes? Can some be found at Wally World? Cause I'm dyin' for some sweet Snowcat custom action.

I pick up most of my fine detail brushes at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. They run about $4 a piece, so I make sure to thoroughly clean them after each use. I'm not sure of the brand, though thet come with a rubber grip similar to a pencil grip. Hope this helps.

Michael's & Hobby Lobby sometimes have coupons for 40% off one item. Check your local paper.

Thanks GB. Forgot to mention that bonus. HL has on-line coupons weekly.

I just saw this weeks Hobby Lobby ad in the paper and brushes are on sale this week and there was a 40% off one item coupon on the ad. So you may want to check out the website!

The smallest detail brush I have ever seen is a 30/0 made by Reaper. I ususally order online.

Well, bizarrely enough I went to Wal-Mart and (gasp!) they had what I wanted! A 10 pack of brushes in small sizes for $5.17. So far so good quality wise and I had a blast doing my Wolf Hound/Snow Cat.

So check those Wallies for the el cheapo brushes!
