Post subject: | Cartoon characters needed! |
I have started a project to customize more child appropriate cartoon characters into my Verse. The idea behind it is to blend aspects of the Adventure Team and Mystery Inc. together. Alot of my insprirations come from Drbindy and his excal customs. So, what I am looking for is a few ideas for characters that might work in this storyline. I have several already made, but am looking to expand my roster alittle bit more. Also, if you have ideas as to how i could execute the customs in the new sculpt style, that would be a huge help.(but that is not necessary) The list of characters that I already have done or started is as follows: Dora Diego Ben Tennison Generator Rex Tommy Pickels Dexter Johnny Test Danny Phantom Tucker Foley Ron Stoppable Any ideas you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Logan |

I made a new sculpt Christopher Robin and Pooh for my 1 month old daughter last Christmas. I used Alpine legs, DTC Barrel Roll torso, Spytroops Gung-ho upper arms, Link lower arms, and Narnia head for Christopher Robin. And I painted a Chap Mei polar bear yellow for Pooh. My wife claimed it was a little too realistic for an infant but they are on her bookshelf in her room. I even worked up a backstory to bring the characters into my own joeverse. Christopher Robin's parents were research scientists experimenting with animal/human telepathy. Several animals were augmented with chips in their brains to translate their thoughts into human equivalents that could be understood through the use of special headsets worn by humans. They ran a research facility, a former zoo, called The Hundred Acre Wood where they could experiment in a controlled environment. Christopher Robin grew up in The Hundred Acre Wood and played with the equipment. Eventually the Robins added a microphone to the headset that enabled the device to work both ways. Now they could speak to the animals and hear the animals thoughts. Growing up around the animals Christopher had a closer bond with them than anyone and seemed to understand their thoughts clearer than his parents and other adults. He named the test subjects and they became his only friends. When Cobra began their venomization project they raided the Robins' lab looking for research. The test subjects were taken by Cobra and Christopher's parents were murdered while Christopher was hidden by by a large yellow bear, the only animal Cobra troops could not wrangle. Now Christopher searches the world with his only friend, known by the nickname Christopher gave him as a child, Winnie the Pooh. Together they intend to find the rest of the test animals, a tiger, a rabbit, an owl, a kangaroo and her joey, a donkey, and a pig and return with them to The Hundred Acre Wood compound. |

If I'm remembering correctly, Ben 10 already has figures in Joe scale. Granted, they don't have the same articulation, but it would be an easy place to start. |

Well, I thought that Kim Possible would make for an interesting female JOE, and I liked the look of Perceptor from the Bionic 6 cartoon. Still working on the rest of the recipe. |

I've been doing something similar, though I tend to skew more to 80's cartoons villains. Done Dr. Claw, Shredder, Miles Mayhem. Got plans for Dr. Scarab and Krang's Android Body. There have been some wonderful Carmen Sandiego customs... |

I've been contemplating bringing Ben-10 into my 'verse as my oldest is a HUGE Ben-10 fan. I've been toying around using Mutt from the Indy line as a basic teenage Ben. He has the size and all. I'll probably swap the lower legs. |
