Anyone think this is a good idea?

Is anyone planning on doing this?

I think it's a good idea....I'm waiting to see pics of Hasbro's "Repaint"...seeing a 2nd version Done in black with a clear canopy wouldn't surprise me.

I'd imagine if they do a black version and consider a clear canopy it will be like the new Sky Hawk with a clear red canopy painted over on the sides. But I doubt it will have a clear canopy given the reasons they've stated for the armored one on it now.

Still, I'd be up for a clear one if someone did cast one up. It would be nice to have the option to switch it out.

Ditto this & Nova's statement. I did like one of the pre-production Ghost Hawk styles that someone got that had a mix of painted "armor" look on the cage with the clear red plastic windows showing more. Besides why have the cool interior if you can't see it? lol

I'd also be down for a tinted version of either of these canopies depending on how it turned out.

Beyond the fact that Cobra finally built a fully armored tank, and everybody seems hell-bent on downgrading it to a glassed in canopy (The HISS Driver says you guys are all off of his Christmas list) unless there's some remolding involved, it'll never look right, in clear. The interior details don't even come close to matching the exterior.

Next, you guys will be trying to build a glass bottomed mine roller. :-P

A glass canopy on a tank is about as useful as teats on a bull.

What if it wasn't glass. What if it was some MARS tech clear polycarbon or something that was lighter and stronger than bullet proof glass? Developed by the same company who brought you robot troops, transporting laser beams, and helicopter tanks.

The U.S. military is currently testing an aluminum based clear ceramic armor, for use in armored vehicles. It's still not as strong as metal armor plating.

Seems to me like going to a clear canopy is just going to call out exactly where the driver is sitting. Guess where Bazooka and Cover Girl are going to concentrate their missiles?

We totally need a crying :hissdriver: smilie.

If someone casted this in clear, details could be painted to match the body.
I personally would love to have the canopy in clear... anyone casting :) ?

This is the look I think would be great:

Granted the paint apps are not very good, imagine the blue parts clear.
